Ways to Support Our School

McBride PAC fundraising and volunteer efforts make a meaningful difference in our children’s school experience. Together, we help fund camps, sport and dance programs, parent presentations, classroom supplies, literacy materials, and more.

Below are the many ways families can contribute—through volunteering, financial support, or sharing new ideas.

Volunteer With Us

We can always use extra hands—whether it’s once a year or once a month. No commitment is too small, and kids love seeing their grown-ups involved at school.

We need help with:

  • Treat Days
  • Sports Day stations
  • School dances
  • Clothing drives
  • Sorting donations
  • Hot Lunch support (sorting and organizing food orders for distribution)
  • Event concessions
  • One-off PAC events throughout the year
  • Sharing new ideas for fundraising or community-building

Direct Appeal

The simplest way to donate is by sending an e-transfer to mcbrideelementary@gmail.com, or contributing to “E–Sir Richard McBride PAC” via School Cash Online.

If you donate through School Cash Online, please also send us an email—it can take a few weeks before we receive notification.

Hot Lunch – A Delicious Way to Support McBride!

Our Hot Lunch Program is one of the PAC’s largest fundraisers. Funds raised support classroom supplies, programs, and equipment—and give students nutritious, varied meals they enjoy.

Hot lunch is offered three days a week, with options like pancakes, sushi, pizza, smoothies, subs, pasta, and curry.

  • Meals arrive labeled and delivered to classrooms
  • Waste goes home for recycling/compost
  • Please send cutlery
  • No refunds if your child is away

Mabel’s Labels

Order name labels and support the PAC at the same time!

  • Go to “Support a Fundraiser” on their website
  • Search Sir Richard McBride School PAC (Vancouver)
  • PAC earns 20% commission on all sales

Return-It Express Recycling

Turn your recyclables into PAC support:

  1. Collect containers in clear plastic bags (juice boxes, bottles, cans, plastic jugs).
  2. Visit any Return-It Express depot.
  3. Log in using our account number: 604 713 4971 (the school phone).
  4. Print labels, attach them to your bags, and drop them off.

Returns are automatically credited to the PAC account.
