Please save the date for our first McBride Summer Carnival being held on Saturday, June 23! We’re hoping to celebrate the end of the school year with a party with lots of games, snacks and fun. The Summer Carnival is a fundraiser for our school, but even more importantly gives us the chance to come together as a community.

A lot of people ask what we are fundraising for, and this past year we have paid for hip-hop, maintaining musical instruments, technology for our classrooms and more. We have lots of great ideas for next year, like beautifying the school with a natural playscape and outdoor learning space, funding field trips, a community art project and much more, and we’re hoping to raise money towards that. We’d also love to hear any ideas you have!

We need your help to make the carnival a success. First and foremost, please come and bring your kids and your neighbours.  If you have a business and can make a donation to our silent auction (like a gift certificate, gift basket or tickets) please also contact me at this address! If you can spare an hour or so on the day of the event to volunteer, we would love to have you. If you have skills you can share (like facepainting?) let us know!
